  • MN Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center

    MAISRC is the research organization at U of MN that is working on controlling the invasive species that impact our lake. They are our best resource for eventually controlling or eradicating zebra mussels.

  • Crow Wing County Lakes and Rivers Alliance

    This is an organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of Crow Wing County’s lakes, rivers, wetlands, and groundwater through education and support of lake organizations such as ours.

Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Advocates

MLR is dedicated to helping Lakeshore property owners preserve their property value, particularly by helping to address aquatic invasive species and runoff pollution entering our lakes. They are collaborating with lake associations to develop a new “Lake Steward” program which is educational, designed to help property owners minimize runoff pollution. LHCA plans to participate in the Lake Steward Program beginning in 2022.
